We weren't going to go out at all today, but I mentioned to Rohanna that Dragonet and I had seen a paisley doormat at Cargo Largo, so we decided to take a run out there. We acquired the mat, then discovered that they were having a 40% off all clothing sale. I got a pair of Levi's Silver Tab "New Boot" cut button fly jeans for $9 net (which don't appear on the Levi's website, oddly enough) and a really nice black shirt with sewn-in filigree on the collar, sleeves and front. I can work with it.

But that's not what I'm here to talk about. After a lovely dinner of arm roast cooked in the crockpot all day and noodles, I retired to the porch to watch the sunset (not as successful as I would have liked, due to the cloud cover, but the clouds were pretty) with a cigar and Dragon's Milk from New Holland Brewing Co. of Michigan (west coast). It's part of their "High Gravity Series," and is a strong ale aged in oak barrels. It is very dark, almost completelly black, and has a wonderful flavor, very malty, with a vanilla overtone, and the oak comes through quite nicely. This is the first beer from this brewery I have seen in these parts, and I will be looking for more. Fine stuff.
