drpaisleyIt's been music week here at teh Belfry. Monday night we saw Spamalot at Starlight Theater, and it was extremely hilarious. The actor playing the lead Knight who says "Ni!" (among many other roles) kept trying to get King Arthur to crack up, and succeeded several times. It was a lovely evening, perfect for outdoor theater, and a good time was had by all.
Last night we saw the Richard Thompson Electric Trio at the Folly Theatre downtown. Damn, that man can play! Not that I didn't know that, but in that band configuration, the point was made even more explicitly. Michael Jerome on drums and Taras Prodaniuk on bass complemented RT perfectly, and were obviously having a great time, as was the audience. If you can catch this tour, do it!
