So I'm at home waiting for the KU-Villanova game, and I would really like to be watching the Davidson-Wisconsin game, but I'm stuck with Texas-Stanford. So when the pathetic announcer mentions that all the games are being shown live on streaming video. I go to CBS, click on the "watch live!" link, and get the following message:
For optimal viewing of the live show, we recommend Internet Explorer 6+ with Windows Media Player 9+. The player also works in Mozilla Firefox. If your system meets the above criteria and you are receiving this message, you may require a patch to Windows Media Player.
Issue: The Windows Media Player plug-in for Firefox is not included in Windows Vista and Windows XP Media Center Edition. Additionally the standard plug-in may be missing several necessary .dll files.
Resolution: Due to this issue, you have two options to view the player:
* The simpler choice is to use Microsoft Internet Explorer to access March Madness on Demand.
* If you really want to use Firefox on Vista or Windows Media Center, then please refer to the following article for patch instructions: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Windows_Media_Player#Missing_plugin. Please note: Our internal testing indicates that you will need to follow the instructions labelled Installing the new plugin AND Restoring the standard plugin.
So in other words, if you don't want to run a third-rate browser and a fifth-rate video system, fuck you.
Thanks a lot, assholes. I hope Bill's dick tastes good to you.
