Hmmm, TV Guide: "On the History Channel, Jesus sees His Shadow and there's six more weeks of Roman Occupation; This Really Old House, a roundtable discussion of brands of lamb's blood for lintel painting; and on a very Special Gray's Anatomy, the nurses and doctors work desperately to keep a rabbit from dying."

And now, the music:

1) Rio De Tenampa, Los Lobos

2) Oompa Radar, Goldfrapp

3) Clumsy Love Intro, The Clumsy Lovers

4) La La La La La, Elbis Rever

5) Tube music part IV, Necronomikon Quartett

6) I Saw The Light, The The

7) Mickey('s got a hold on me), The Fullerenes

8) All My Friends, LCD Soundsystem

9) Another Girl, The Beatles

10) To Lay Me Down, Cowboy Junkies

And bonus chocolaty goodness:

11) Read About Love, Richard Thompson

12) Opera Star, Neil Young And Crazy Horse (Live, 10/22/86 Fox Theater, St. Louis)

13) Space Boy Dream, A, Belle & Sebastian

So, off to another thrilling day at work, and a weekend spent watching basketball (Rock Chalk!) and trying to identify the source of the water leak on the second floor (my bet: the shower, so we might have to start using the one downstairs). And miscellaneous appropriated holiday lunch/dinner Sunday in Lawrence. Onward.

Once more, onto the MP3s. . .

1) 0340 Crazy Tonight = Strong Teeth, The Kleptones

2) Start Wearing Purple, Gogol Bordello

3) Walk The Dinosaur, Was (Not Was)

4) Country At War, X

5) The Yip Song, Robyn Hitchcock & The Egyptians

6) Sympathy For The Devil, Skrew (from "Shut Up Kitty")

7) Charmed, Los Lobos

8) We're Desperate, X

9) I Am Not Your Broom, TMBG

10) Isobel, Björk

and onward:

11) Hidden #1 The Planet Of The Apes, TMBG

12) Rock and Roll, Rasputina

13) Let The Good Times Roll, Harry Nilsson

The KU basketball team began its season last night with an exhibition tuneup against Pittsburg State. I have always liked the KU policy of playing other state universities for these games, as opposed to the traveling tomato cans like Athletes in Action. It gives the schools a nice payday, and the players the opportunity to experience the wonder of playing in Allen Field House. Are the 'Hawks a title contender. Mai oui. Will they make the final four, much less triumph? If I knew that, I'd be laying a series of bets in Vegas instead of typing this.

The fact that the KU football team is 8-0 and #8 in the polls is simply cromulent. I guess having a coach who could eat you for lunch is a good motivator. Surrealsitic reality of the week: Nebraska is the underdog against KU this Saturday. Quel fromage!
