drpaisleyWandered into Dragonet's office earlier this afternoon, and saw a commercial for the Miss America Pagent, which is being broadcast tonight on TLC[1]. As clips of participants in the various competitions played (though somehow they left out the lingerie pillowfight and the Jell-O wrestling), the female narrator attempted to play up the drama, ending with the rhetorical questions, "Who will go down? Who will take the crown?"
I have to say, I wasn't aware they had gotten that blatant/blasé about how things really worked there. Maybe it'll be on pay per view next year.
[1] I have yet to discern what the "Learning" aspect of this broadcast might be, though the pay per view option would certainly have the potential for being "educational."
