Why, you ask? Because today at Making Light she linked to this, which is one of the better webcomics I have spent an evening reading (and which, despite the name "Dresden Codak," has nothing to do with Jim Butcher or his works).

Go, enjoy. It won't take that long, really. And read the creator's comments at the bottom of each page; they are quite amusing and entertaining in their own right.

And now, bed. One hopes.

And this, as well.

The four-day work week does have its advantages, like going faster, though it would be better with more money (and bacon, of coourse). Anywey, before I head off to do 10 hours of work in 7, here's some happy fun Friday music!

1) Bloodstone, Amon Tobin

2) Starman (ATOM's Space Funk Journey), David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust Remixed)

3) Making Flippy Floppy, God Johnson

4) Reservoir Park, The Dutchess & The Duke

5) Kiss Me, Sweetheart, Brave Combo

6) Hotel Yorba (White Stripes cover), The Pistol Whippin Party Penguins

7) Done Gone Blue, Los Lobos

8) Garden, Winter Family

9) You Ought To Know, Splitsville

10) Get Ur Freak On (BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge), KT Tunstall

And a soggy encore:

11) Blackberry Stone, Laura Marling

12) M79, Vampire Weekend

13) Lollipop (LAZRtag Remix), Lil' Wayne

Looks like a double trip to Lawrence this weekend–Saturday for Star's garage sale (and bagels!), and Sunday for Mother's Day. And Monday will be getting cars looked at day. Onward.

The Bloggess. I mean, someone who can write headlines like "Babies are flammable but only at night for some reason," "And now for the rest of my life I will have nightmares about rattlesnakes that can fly" and "Twitter will not fix your car" and actually discuss these issues in the related posts is doing fine work right off the bat. And then there's this bit from the rattlesnake post:

My mother: But we won’t be keeping live rattlesnakes in a rickety wooden box from now on, I assure you. Could you imagine if those rattlesnakes had gotten sucked up inside the tornado? It would have been flinging live rattlesnakes at people all over the county! That would be the worst tornado ever.

Me: Why would people be standing outside in a tornado?

My mother: Well. It’s Texas.

Me: Touché.

Like her banner says, "Like Mother Teresa, only better." Definitely worth checking out, as is her advice column ("Less Qualified than Dr. Phil") and new bad porn column ("So basically I get paid to write about clown porn"). You need this. Trust me, I'm a doctor.
