Not Goodness All Around

On Monday Dragonet went to the doctor to get the wound on her swollen left foot looked at. It turned out to be infected, and she was admitted to the hospital instanter. After an MRI, it was also revealed that her foot was swollen not because she had bruised it some time back, but in fact because it had been broken and/or fractured.

She just called me from the hospital to tell me they are going to operate on the foot later this afternoon to clean out the infection, which has gotten into the bone just a bit. When she asked if that was the only alternative, the doctor (I have my suspicions which one) told her the other option was removing the foot (a la Game of Thrones) and she went for column a.
