"Carbon dating is expected to show he lived between 38,000 and 42,000 years ago and had long lain under a department store parking garage."
Isn't science amazing these days - now carbon dating can even identify the building he's been under!
A few years ago when the bookstore sent me and colleague Lisa to the Book Expo in LA, the La Brea Tar Pits was the one place I wanted to visit. We snuck out and met up with my cousin, and he took us there. Fascinating! I'd love to go back and see it all again. ( Lisa and I then paid a visit to Hollywood and the Walk of Fame because that's what she wanted to see. *yawn*)
