Once again, I hit "play" this morning, but managed not to get this done before I had to leave for work. While I generally don't do well during the cold dark months, this time around seems to have been more aggressive in moving me into a "what's the point of doing anything, I'll just fuck it up anyway" mental set. I have several things I need to get done, but sloggiing through the despond to even start is just so damn hard right now. So, music:
1) Free Man In Paris, Joni Mitchell
2) I Got Mine, Black Keys
3) What a Friend We Have in Jesus Revisited, Hal Willner
4) You Ain't Goin' Nowhere, Arlo Guthrie (1976-02-26 - Boston)
5) let the drummer kick, citizen cope
6) The DJ from Outer Space, Future Bible Heroes
7) Fine Young Cannibals, Wolf Parade
8) Family Snapshot, Peter Gabriel
9) She's Looking Good, Chuck Prophet
10) The Long Day Is Over, Norah Jones
And boom goes the dynamite:
11) Opa-Loka, Hawkwind
12) Whipping Post, The Allman Brothers Band
13) Tomorrow Never Knows, The Beatles (Anthology 2)
It didn't help that on Wednesday it looked lke today was going to be just lovely; perfect weather for firing up the grill. And while it started out nice, by the time I got home the temperature had dropped over 10 degrees, and we're looking at the possibility of snow tomorrow. This shit could stop any time now.
Oh, and Rock Chalk.
