Friday Music Time
May. 2nd, 2008 06:32 amThe drill: turn on your tunes, hit "shuffle," note the first ten (or so) songs, irrespective of quality or tastefulness. Make a list. Like so:
1) Wordy Rappinghood (12" Version), Tom Tom Club
2) 1952 Vincent Black Lightning, Richard Thompson (Live From Austin, TX)
3) New Genious (Brother), Gorillaz
4) Greenback Dollar, David Byrne And Richard Thompson (03/24/92 An Acoustic Evening St. Ann And The Holy Trinity in Brooklyn Heights, New York)
5) Dirty City (Album Version), Steve Winwood featuring Eric Clapton
6) Helter Skelter, The Beatles
7) The Painter's Link, Kate Bush
8) Team, Hologram
9) Cocaine Blues, Johnny Cash
10) Low, Cracker/Leftover Salmon
and the overage:
11) Hello I Love You (Unreleased Psychedelic Mix), The Cure
12) True Faith, New Order
13) Take Me To The River, Talking Heads
Now post your list in the comments. It'll be fun!
This should be a somewhat lower-stress weekend than the last one. Currently the plan is to go to the Brookside Art Fair Saturday, and then make burnt offerings to the sky fairies, who will politely decline them, so we can eat the offerings for dinner. And now off to work, and another thrilling day of making signs to alert the public about the zebra mussel menace. Run, you fools!
