Two days after the amazing "1984" ad that ran during the Super Bowl, Apple officially unveiled the Macintoch, without which all of this would not have been necessary. Think about it -- a world of 8-bit music and ascii pr0n *shudder*. In other news, there have been no setbacks on the continuing saga of the Penguin Palace. Only waiting on Rohanna's W-2. Soon, maybe. Onward, to the tunes.

We got lucky and only caught the southern fringes of the latest Polar Vortex (or, as the Reality Channel Formerly Known as TWC referred to it, Winter Storm Anus), so it only got to single digits positive, rather than negative this time. Warming up for the weekend (53˚ on Sunday!), but then back to the teens Monday. So, of course, my space heater decided to give up this morning. Yo, Canada, keep yer damn cold air to yourself! Oh, and you can have Bieber back, as well.

The Penguin Palace saga continues. Original loan originator finally decided that my classically hand-tooled, artisanal paystubs just weren't high enough quality to prove I had a job, so my income didn't count, blah blah blah. Another company is on the case, and we're still hoping to get this done by the 14th (original closing date), though we're trying to get an extension on that, just in case. Grrrr. Musics are good.

1) Thriller, Ben Gibbard

2) I Am Trying To Break Your Heart, Wilco

3) The Man in the Moon, Adrian Belew

4) Seizure, Hunters

5) As A Child, Suzanne Vega

11) Every Other Day, jonka

12) Gypsy, Todd Haaby

Boulevard Brewing's Rye-on-Rye is back, and I have 3 bottles. Planning on getting more. Still have 5 bottles of the 2013 release downstairs, so there will be a comparative tasting at some point. Plans for the weekend include more packing, getting used to my new glasses, and, unfortunately, attending a memorial service for a friend who died suddenly last month. Just stop it!
